HELP-Higher Education Library Project
Another initiative taken by Shri Bhandari was HELP-Higher Education Library Project, which aims at strengthening talent in the field of specialized professional education. The organization came into existence in 1985 when a group of people thought of helping those persons who have keen desire to get good education but due to financial problem, were unable to have their dreams come true. It started its activities with free distribution of textbooks and reference books to deserving and needy medical and engineering students. On 23rd of July 1998, it has started a reading room with Internet service at MGM Medical College Library, Indore. Since its launch, more than 13000 students have been benefited through this welfare project. Shri Bhandari being the general secretary, at present HELP is operating a book bank for the students whose parents income is less than Rs. 5000/- per month, providing a reading room with internet facility & also running short term training programs on Basics of Computer. |
